Lee Crumbaugh, Strategy Consultant and Business Coach

Lee is President and Founder of Forrest Consulting. He has the credentials, education and experience to produce great consulting and coaching results for clients.

Lee has delivered management counsel, effective planning, business coaching and winning marketing, communications and business development programs to companies, associations, non-profit organizations, leaders and entrepreneurs in 50 industries and business segments.

After holding senior trade association and banking roles, and launching a publishing company, Lee founded Forrest Consulting in 1988 and led it for eight years.  After 15 years in senior operating roles (COO of a metro United Way and Executive Director of the American Fence Association), he re-opened the firm in 2011. 

Lee is an author of two books: AHEAD: Strategy is the way to a better future and BIG DECISIONS: Why we make them poorly how to make them better (publication expected in 2019).

Lee earned the Strategic Management Professional (SMP) certification from the Association for Strategic Planning. He earned an MBA, marketing management, finance emphasis, at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S., communications, at the University of Illinois. He is a keyholder of a bank executive program at Indiana University.

A member of the Association for Strategic Planning, he was ASP’s president in 2014-2016 and was past Board member of its Chicago Chapter. He is a member of the International Association of Facilitators and co-founded its Chicago Chapter.

Lee takes the passion he has for helping organizations and leaders into his personal life. He is a certified running coach and a certified spin instructor. He has completed 60 marathons, including five Boston Marathons, and 10 Ironman races. He currently is board chair of a counseling center and is co-moderator of his church.

Laura Kavinski, Organization and Productivity Consultant

Laura, Owner/CEO of Crux Organizing, optimizes organization and productivity for business and individual clients. 

Laura systemizes and monetizes clients’ gain in productivity in many ways, including creating operations manuals, staff head hunting/training, and setting up systems for company growth. She combines a love of teaching, problem solving, and customer service. Her objective is to improve organizational deficiencies due to disorganization and leave the client with the skills to maintain their systems.

Laura has served as a project manager for Forrest Consulting.

For nearly a decade, Laura handled purchasing and logistics as Customer Service Manager for Ceremony Coffee Roasters/Caffé Pronto Coffee, a multi-million dollar company.  She executed trade shows and off-site events, built sales protocols and training, created and implemented systems for six companies organized under one DBA, analyzed and projected sales, and managed inventory and transit logistics.

Laura is a member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals) and has served as NAPO Baltimore President and Treasurer.

Laura earned a degree in Musical Theater from the Catholic University of America. She has sung and danced in many productions.

Sumair Abro, Growth and Leadership Consultant

Sumair, CEO, Inner Gauge Consulting, is a senior consultant whose areas of expertise include marketing and business growth strategies, leadership development, executive coaching and corporate training.

Having worked for and with organizations of all sizes and shapes all over the world he understands what it takes to grow businesses, and lead teams.

Prior to founding Inner Gauge Consulting, over two decades Sumair acquired international C-suite executive, coaching, consulting and training experience, working for start-ups, small businesses and multi national organizations, such as Sprint, 3M, Roche, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Glaxo SmithKline, Telenor, Toyota, Shell, Pepsi, Linde, Shell, Junior Achievement Worldwide, Honda, Novartis, and Nestle.

Sumair acquired a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and was a Yale World Fellows Program Finalist. He holds the Human Resource Management Professional (HRMP) certification from the HR Certification Institute.

Tom Drouin, Strategy and Business Development Consultant

Tom’s firm is Drouin & Associates Consulting Services. His focus focus is B-to-B companies and not-for-profit organizations looking to develop and execute a business or mission strategy, new business launch or for support in enhancing organizational effectiveness through performance assessment and individual career coaching and development.

A senior executive and professional, Tom’s corporate career was built on strategically conceived product and market innovation, business leadership and excellence in human development. His most recent senior role was at BOISE Inc./Boise Cascade as Director, New Business Development. He has a depth of experience as a volunteer leader in not-for-profit organizations and as a counselor for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Tom has worked as a senior consultant on key assignments for Forrest Consulting, including strategic planning projects for the Association for Challenge Course Technology and the DuPage Foundation. 

Tom earned his B.A. at The Pennsylvania State University.

Russ Borman, channel strategy and programs, marketing and promotions, and training consultant

Russ, whose firm is Agilics, LLC, is a senior consultant with great expertise and experience in channel strategy and programs, marketing and promotions, the full training lifecycle, and project management.

Three stellar examples of Russ’s work: 1) He was the architect of EMC’s Cloud Service Provider Program, which initially helped the company break into the cloud services market and later increased EMC’s revenue by more than $300m from that segment. 2) He designed, built, and managed the most successful reseller partner program in Cisco history which brought more than $800 million of incremental revenue from the SMB market in its first year. 3) For a technology start-up in the cloud and virtualized data center space, he designed programs to scale manufacturing, sales, and support into the distribution channel.

Russ has built sales and technical training and certification programs with target audiences numbered in the tens of thousands and in every part of the world.

Russ has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Finance, both from Northeastern University.

Stan Kizior, IT Consultant

Stan Kizior is the President and founder of TechEffect, with more than 20 years’ experience developing and implementing IT strategies while streamlining costs across multiple industries.

Stan specializes in engineering highly secure, cost effective and enterprise class IT services. Stan’s background includes positions such as Chief Operational Officer for the State of Maryland’s Department of IT (DoIT) and CIO for the Comptroller of Maryland.

Additionally, he has an extensive background working and consulting with such companies as Accenture, Best Buy, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Transunion and Abbot Laboratories.

Stan has a Bachelor’s degree in business and psychology from Marquette University.

Peter O’Neil, Organizational Consultant

Peter focuses on strategic alignment, He helps organizations address critical challenges, clarify strategy, increase employee commitment and enhance marketplace performance.

Peter has extensive technical, operational, and leadership experience in healthcare, computing, networking, manufacturing, state and county government, federal agencies, and for-profit and non-profit Boards of Directors.

His 35 years in high performance computing and wide area networking included large-scale projects sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, NASA, NOAA and NIH. He helped found and lead the National Lambda Rail fiber-based optical network for higher education and research.

Earlier, Peter was Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic Crossroads regional fiber optical network, and Senior Consultant, Scientific Computing Division, National Center for Atmospheric Research. He held positions at Callisma, Inc., MCI, Advanced Network & Services and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Peter earned a Bachelors degree in English Literature/Psychology from Boston University and a Masters degree in Organizational Strategy & Behavior from Harvard University. He was a visiting scientist at MIT’s Artificial Intelligence Lab and a visiting researcher at Harvard.

Don Schreffler, Digital Marketing Consultant

Don is CEO of Leverage Point Digital. His agency offers a full suite of search engine optimization, Google Adwords, and Social Media marketing for local businesses of any size.

Don is expert at exploding the number of leads and sales clients get from digital marketing.  An agency specialty is getting clients ranked in the Google Map Pack.

Don is a serial entrepreneur with a primary interest in marketing-based leverage for businesses. He believes that value is both a state of mind as well as a dollar figure and runs his business accordingly.

He formerly was CEO of the Vectis Group. He spent his early career as an institutional bond broker and a senior mortgage banker.
